Read on for my step-by-step guide on how to become an affiliate marketer.
 What is affiliate marketing you ask? It is simply where you find a product, that someone else has created, and you promote that product by driving traffic to it, you don't have to do the selling, handle inventory, refunds or anything, all you do is drive traffic.

 

Step 1: Research Different Types of Online Businesses

Before you dive into the world of affiliate marketing, it’s important to do your research and explore other types of online businesses. This may include drop shipping (selling products online without having to keep physical inventory), Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) or digital marketing. All of these options have different levels of entry costs, profit margins and levels of difficulty so it’s important to consider which one is right for you before making a decision.

 

Step 2: Pick a Niche

Once you’ve decided on affiliate marketing as your chosen business type, it’s time to pick a niche. A niche simply means focusing on one specific topic or industry rather than trying to appeal to everyone. As an example, if you wanted to write about sports, you might narrow that down even further and focus exclusively on football or basketball instead. Picking a niche will help ensure that all your content is focused and relevant, which will be beneficial for SEO purposes later on in the game.

 

Step 3: Get Educated

Now it’s time for the fun part–learning more about how affiliate marketing works! You can find lots of great resources online such as eBooks, blogs and podcasts dedicated specifically towards teaching new marketers everything they need to know about getting started in this field. Take advantage of these resources and use them as references throughout your journey into becoming an affiliate marketer!
